Worked on the microsoft/sbom-tool repository to enhance the accuracy of telemetry data related to file validation. Addressed a bug in the ValidationResultGenerator by refining the calculation of FilesValidatedCount, ensuring that only genuinely validated files were counted and skipped files were excluded. This targeted fix improved the reliability of validation metrics, supporting more accurate dashboards and informed QA analytics. The work involved C# and leveraged skills in API development, software development, and testing. The change was well-documented and traceable, contributing to overall code health and reducing the risk of misinformed decisions based on inaccurate telemetry data within the project.
