During October 2025, Jayaram Pagadala developed and integrated the initial BitBake recipe for the Userspace Resource Manager (URM) within the qualcomm-linux/meta-qcom repository. This work established a foundation for dynamic system resource management by enabling a userspace daemon to interact with Linux kernel interfaces. Leveraging expertise in BitBake recipe development and system resource management, Jayaram ensured the URM could be built and tested early in the development cycle, supporting QA validation and future quality-of-service enhancements. The implementation demonstrated clean commit practices and provided a pathway for ongoing development of resource allocation features in Qualcomm Linux builds using Yocto technologies.
