
Worked on the atopile/atopile repository to enhance the KiCad PCB export workflow by introducing a method for managing designator visibility across all footprints. Developed the hide_all_designators function within the Faebryk PCB transformer, which programmatically iterates through each footprint and its text elements to hide designators during export. This addition streamlines the process of producing cleaner PCB layouts in KiCad, supporting business needs for customizable exports and maintainable code. The work was implemented using Python and leveraged expertise in PCB design and exporter development, focusing on structural improvements that facilitate more flexible and efficient hardware design workflows.
