During this period, contributed to the open-webui/open-webui repository by implementing OAuth Scope Optimization for Protected Resource Metadata within the static OAuth 2.1 flow. The work focused on restoring and hardening scope handling to comply with RFC 9728 PRM scopes, addressing a regression related to scope removal. By enhancing cross-provider compatibility, the solution avoided broad scope requests and instead utilized provider-specific required scopes for integrations with GitHub and Entra ID. This approach improved the security and reliability of OAuth integrations, reducing authorization errors and scope-related failures. The feature was developed using Python, emphasizing backend development and API integration skills.
