Developed and integrated a new i3 Window Manager package for the chimera-linux/cports repository, focusing on robust build systems and package management using Python. The work involved creating comprehensive build configurations, managing dependencies, and mapping source information to ensure automated and reproducible provisioning of i3 version 4.24. By expanding the cports catalog, this contribution improved platform coverage and streamlined the packaging workflow, reducing manual intervention and testing requirements. The approach emphasized maintainability and quality, aligning with the project’s roadmap and enhancing provisioning options for users. No major bugs were reported, reflecting a focus on stability and reliable package integration.
