Worked on the LabNConsulting/frr repository to address protocol correctness and interoperability in SRv6 with IPv6 Multi-Topology environments. Focused on refining the handling of MTID usage for SRv6 locator TLVs, ensuring alignment with IPv6 reachability TLVs to improve compatibility across different implementations. Utilized C programming and network protocol development skills to deliver a targeted bug fix, updating the isisd component for accurate MTID assignment when IPv6 Multi-Topology is enabled. The approach emphasized clear traceability and minimal risk, contributing to greater stability and interoperability in network protocol operations without introducing new features during the development period.
