Worked on enhancing the Performance Profiler in the microsoft/BCApps repository, focusing on backend development and performance profiling using AL. Delivered a targeted feature that introduced detailed SQL metrics, including SQL call duration, the number of SQL calls, and a new calculation for platform call duration. This improvement provided more granular visibility into SQL performance within sampled AL frames, enabling faster identification of database bottlenecks and more informed optimization decisions. The work maintained strong code quality and traceability by implementing focused, well-documented changes. Over the month, the contribution deepened the profiler’s analytical capabilities, supporting the repository’s ongoing performance goals.
