Worked on the apollographql/federation repository to enhance observability for federated GraphQL services by introducing a per-request context parameter to the didEncounterError method in RemoteGraphQLDataSource. This feature, developed using TypeScript and focused on backend and API development, enables richer error reporting by including specific GraphQL request details in error diagnostics. The approach improves error traceability and reduces triage time, supporting more reliable service operation. No major bug fixes were addressed during this period, as the primary focus was on strengthening error handling and visibility. The work established clear change traceability through explicit commit and pull request references.
