Worked on the hackclub/dns repository to deliver a custom domain setup for the Shipwreck Site, enabling a branded URL by configuring a CNAME record that directs the shipwreck subdomain to its GitHub Pages deployment. This configuration, managed using YAML and DNS management best practices, improves site accessibility and establishes a consistent brand presence. The approach centralized DNS changes for easier future updates and ensured all modifications were documented and reproducible through a single commit. Focused on configuration management, the work laid a foundation for future DNS-driven branding initiatives while maintaining clarity and traceability in the repository’s domain management process.
