Worked on the n8n-io/n8n repository to enhance LDAP integration reliability, focusing on stability improvements for handling long Distinguished Names (DNs). Addressed a critical bug where LDAP entry renames with long DNs could fail silently, implementing robust fixes and expanding test coverage to ensure these scenarios are properly handled. Refactored the escapeFilter function to improve maintainability and resilience against edge cases. Upgraded the ldapts dependency to version 8.1.7, mitigating risks of data misrouting and user-facing errors in enterprise environments. Leveraged TypeScript and testing best practices throughout, emphasizing collaborative, test-driven development to reduce support overhead and improve deployment outcomes.
