Developed cross-distribution automation enhancements for The-OpenROAD-Project/OpenROAD by improving the DependencyInstaller.sh script to support AlmaLinux and address file ownership issues when executed with sudo. Leveraging Linux system administration and shell scripting skills, the work introduced AlmaLinux release detection and ensured output files are owned by the invoking user, reducing deployment failures across varied environments. The implementation also added a safe default for executable permissions to prevent issues with undefined variables. These updates strengthened the reliability of continuous integration pipelines and streamlined dependency installation, resulting in more robust automation workflows for diverse Linux distributions without introducing new bugs.
