During October 2025, Kening enhanced telemetry and observability for the fiddler-examples repository by introducing user-defined attributes to telemetry data within the Weather Function and Knowledge Base Search components. Using Python, Kening focused on telemetry instrumentation and data analysis to enable richer monitoring, allowing for more granular performance tracking and faster root-cause analysis. This work supported proactive maintenance and data-driven capacity planning for both search and weather workloads. The disciplined approach to change logging and adherence to observability best practices demonstrated a thoughtful engineering process, resulting in a targeted feature that improved operational insight without introducing unnecessary complexity.
