Worked on aligning the Fiddler Guardrails API in the NVIDIA/NeMo-Guardrails repository with a new specification, focusing on updating input formats and introducing additional safety categories to meet evolving requirements. The development process emphasized API stability and future-proofing, ensuring that downstream integration and quality assurance could proceed smoothly. Leveraged Python for API development, incorporating asynchronous programming techniques and comprehensive unit testing to maintain code reliability. The changes were implemented with clear, traceable commits, supporting easier audits and migration. This work established a robust foundation for further enhancements, prioritizing maintainability and extensibility in the evolving landscape of safety-focused API design.
