Worked on the broadinstitute/sam repository to upgrade the GitHub Actions cache action from version 3 to version 4 within the verify_consumer_pacts.yml workflow, targeting multiple jobs to enhance caching performance and reliability. Focused on CI/CD optimization, the work involved editing YAML configuration files and leveraging GitHub Actions to modernize the continuous integration pipeline. The upgrade did not introduce functional changes but resulted in faster, more consistent CI runs with reduced cache misses.
