Developed and delivered Tizen anamorphic video playback support for the jellyfin/jellyfin-web repository, enabling direct playback of anamorphic content on Tizen TVs without remuxing that previously distorted aspect ratios. The solution involved implementing a Tizen version compatibility check and refining codec profile conditions to ensure reliable support for HEVC and H264 sources across multiple Tizen versions. Using JavaScript and front end development skills, the work improved playback quality and user experience for Jellyfin users on Tizen devices. The feature was validated on Tizen 6.0, 6.5, and v9, reducing post-release support risk through targeted, device-specific video processing enhancements.
