During September 2025, Kirk contributed to the inaturalist/inaturalist repository by implementing routing-level support for printed development materials. He added two HTTP 302 redirects, mapping the /gifts and /supportersurvey endpoints to external resources, ensuring that users accessing these routes were seamlessly redirected without disrupting existing workflows. The changes were made with a minimal footprint, preserving both user experience and application performance. Kirk utilized Ruby on Rails and web development best practices to integrate these features, focusing on maintainability and clarity in the routing logic. The work addressed a targeted need, delivering a focused solution within a short development period.
