Worked on the microsoft/VirtualClient repository to deliver a security-focused feature enabling certificate-based authentication between the Virtual Client and the proxy API. The implementation involved updating the REST client builder in C# to load and attach client certificates, ensuring secure API integration and reducing the risk of credential exposure. Additionally, enhancements were made to the API client manager to parse certificate issuer and subject information directly from the proxy API URI, supporting policy-driven security decisions. This work leveraged skills in certificate management, network programming, and security, resulting in improved mutual trust and more robust communication between client and proxy components.
