Worked on the LizardByte/Sunshine repository to enhance installer reliability for Windows environments, focusing on cross-locale compatibility. Addressed a critical bug in update-path.bat by correcting registry command syntax, which resolved install-time failures on Chinese Windows systems. Applied batch scripting and Windows scripting skills to implement locale-aware validation, ensuring the installer correctly handles registry updates across different language settings. The solution improved maintainability by tightening registry handling and included thorough documentation linked to issue tracking for better traceability. This work contributed to more robust update processes, reducing the risk of regressions and enabling reliable updates for users in non-English locales.
