Worked on backend reliability for LibreChat by addressing a critical issue in Gemini model title generation. Focused on API development using JavaScript, the work involved extracting input_tokens and output_tokens from usage_metadata, which had previously been unhandled and caused silent failures in title transactions. The solution also included cleaning up trailing whitespace in the usage path to prevent edge-case formatting problems. No new user-facing features were introduced, but these backend improvements enhanced system stability and token accounting. The changes delivered measurable business value by improving title quality and ensuring consistent, reliable operation of the title generation process in production.
