Worked on enhancing log schema validation in the panther_analysis_tool repository, focusing on improving robustness and testability for schema test files. Developed support for both _tests.yaml and _tests.yml file suffixes, ensuring consistent discovery and validation of YAML-based test files. Addressed an issue where certain YAML test files were previously ignored, and introduced targeted test fixtures to verify the new behavior. Leveraged Python and YAML for backend development, schema validation, and comprehensive testing. These improvements reduced configuration errors, strengthened data quality checks, and enabled faster feedback for developers working with schema validation logic in the analysis tool’s codebase.
