Worked on the DragonBluep/openwrt repository to deliver enhancements for high-speed Ethernet device support, focusing on QCA8084 SerDes speed configuration and PPE driver improvements. The approach involved refining the qca8084_qxgmii_set_speed function to ensure accurate channel lookup and updating the PPE port reset logic to assert and deassert each reset control individually. These changes consolidated kernel-level fixes, improving SerDes and XPCS stability while enhancing hardware reliability and maintainability. The work was implemented in C, leveraging skills in driver and kernel development, and resulted in a cohesive patch set tested and linked to upstream pull requests for broader integration.
