Worked on the yuwata/systemd repository to enhance sysctl configuration management by implementing dynamic discovery of configuration file paths. Developed a new SD_PATH_SEARCH_SYSCTL type in C, integrating it into libsystemd and systemd-path to enumerate and expose sysctl configuration directories across standard locations such as /etc, /run, and /usr/lib. This approach allowed systemd-sysctl to automatically parse and apply configurations from all discovered paths, streamlining administration and reducing manual intervention. Maintained backward compatibility with existing path behaviors while introducing this new dynamic mechanism. The work demonstrated strong skills in C programming, Linux system administration, and system programming within a complex codebase.
