Worked on maintaining and improving the pentaho/maven-parent-poms and pentaho/big-data-plugin repositories, focusing on security and repository hygiene. Addressed a critical security vulnerability by upgrading Spring Security to version 5.8.12, ensuring compliance and reducing CVE exposure without introducing functional changes. Emphasized dependency management and build stability, validating downstream compatibility across Maven POMs. In the big-data-plugin repository, executed a routine rebase to align the development branch with the upstream main, minimizing future merge conflicts and supporting stable feature integration. Utilized Java, Maven, and CI pipelines to maintain codebase integrity, demonstrating a methodical approach to risk mitigation and technical debt reduction.
