Worked on the apache/ofbiz-framework repository to deliver a security-focused feature enhancing URL handling in the back end. Developed Secure URL Resource Validation using Java, restricting processing to only allowed URLs and thereby improving both security and data integrity. Extended the existing URL_RESOURCE validation to cover the writeDataResourceText method, completing a previously initiated security hardening effort. The approach established an auditable trail for security-related changes by referencing explicit commits, supporting better change management. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary focus remained on robust feature delivery and risk reduction through improved validation and back end development practices.
