
Worked on enhancing the reliability and reproducibility of performance benchmarks in the gear-tech/gear repository by developing infrastructure to lock CPU frequency and optimize the CPU governor. Leveraged CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and shell scripting in Bash and YAML to automate the configuration of maximum CPU frequency through GitHub Actions. Implemented runtime checks to verify CPU frequency and enforced the performance governor mode, ensuring consistent and deterministic benchmark results across environments. This work addressed the challenge of benchmark variance, enabling more accurate, data-driven performance analysis and improving cross-environment comparability for ongoing and future benchmarking efforts within the project.
