Developed support for the Eufy EAP Smart Lock within the SmartThingsEdgeDrivers repository by updating the Matter lock driver’s device fingerprint list to include new vendor and product IDs. This work leveraged Lua and the Matter protocol to ensure seamless interoperability for Eufy devices in the broader IoT ecosystem. The integration process involved validating the device’s compatibility with SmartThings Edge drivers and aligning with Matter protocol requirements, which streamlined the onboarding experience for users. All changes were tracked through Git history, supporting efficient quality assurance and rollout planning. The contribution expanded device support without introducing new bugs during the development period.
