Developed the Front Controller Power Management Module for the uw-midsun/fwxvi repository, enabling robust power sensing and control for embedded systems. Leveraging C programming and expertise in GPIO management, the work involved mapping and initializing GPIO pins to monitor and control power outputs, integrating current sensing, and extending the main application with new power management functions. Macro-based pin assignments were introduced to improve maintainability, while SCons-based linting and automated formatting via GitHub Actions ensured code quality. This module established a foundation for safe power sequencing and monitoring, reducing the risk of power-related failures and enhancing the reliability of hardware interfacing.
