During May 2025, Matej Latka enhanced Czech localization for the electricitymaps-contrib repository by updating and refining JSON-based translation strings. Focusing on internationalization and localization, he improved the user experience for Czech-speaking users by consolidating translation workflows and increasing string coverage. Matej utilized git-based collaboration and cross-repository contribution practices to ensure traceability and maintainability of locale changes. Although the work was limited to a single feature and did not involve bug fixes, it strengthened the project’s readiness for future localized features and aligned the application more closely with regional requirements, demonstrating depth in translation file management and i18n best practices.
