Developed and delivered Envoy Gateway as the control plane ingress for the unionai/helm-charts repository, enabling a seamless migration path from Ingress NGINX while supporting coexistence within the same Kubernetes cluster. The work involved implementing core features such as Backend and Client Traffic Policies, Gateway configuration, HTTP and GRPC routing, and Redis-backed rate limiting, all orchestrated through Helm and YAML. Additionally, introduced a patch policy for auth-token interception and caching to optimize authentication flows and rate limiting. This engineering effort established a scalable, policy-driven ingress foundation that reduces operational risk and enhances security during cluster ingress migration.
