Worked on the usdot-fhwa-stol/cdasim repository to deliver a refactor of the CARLA XML-RPC server’s coordinate transformation logic, focusing on simplifying server paths and improving code maintainability. Using Java and Python, restructured the transformation methods to enhance accuracy and reduce complexity, while also removing the net offset reader utility to eliminate dead code and lower maintenance overhead. The changes were aimed at progressing the server toward production readiness, with the work prepared for final review. Throughout the month, the focus remained on backend development and API design, prioritizing stability and code quality over bug fixes or new feature additions.
