Worked on the factcast/factcast repository to address a critical database migration issue, focusing on improving reliability during schema changes. Tackled a bug related to transaction handling by updating the db.changelog-master.yaml file, ensuring that the migration change set runs outside of a transaction as required for issue 4042. This adjustment, implemented using YAML and leveraging database migration best practices, delivered a traceable and low-risk fix that enhances the stability of future migrations. The work involved careful configuration management and a single, auditable change, demonstrating attention to detail and a methodical approach to resolving production-impacting database migration problems.
