Worked on the ITS-HCD/nysds repository to enhance visual consistency and maintainability by refreshing design system tokens and updating core UI components. Focused on aligning Button, Alert, Checkbox, Label, and Radio elements with new color tokens and variables, ensuring theming flexibility for NYS deployments. Utilized CSS and TypeScript to implement token-driven styling, remove unused selectors, and clean up style definitions for improved code quality. Incorporated peer feedback to meet design specifications and QA standards. This work addressed visual drift, streamlined theming processes, and demonstrated a strong grasp of component styling, front-end development, and UI/UX best practices within a design system context.
