Worked on the renovatebot/helm-charts repository to deliver a new feature that introduced configurable retry and failure controls for the Renovate Helm chart. Focused on enhancing the reliability of cron-driven runs, the work involved adding backoffLimitPerIndex and maxFailedIndexes options, allowing users to fine-tune job retries and failure handling. The implementation required updates to YAML configuration files and Helm chart templates, as well as improvements to documentation to guide users in adopting the new parameters. Demonstrated skills in Kubernetes, Helm, and YAML, resulting in greater deployment flexibility and reduced operational friction for teams managing multiple indexes with Renovate.
