Worked on the forcedotcom/salesforcedx-templates and forcedotcom/source-deploy-retrieve repositories, delivering three features focused on improving template generation and build reliability. Implemented output path validation and automatic path correction in the WebApplicationGenerator, ensuring generated artifacts are placed correctly and reducing deployment risks. Enhanced build performance by cleaning up TypeScript configuration, excluding unnecessary files from compilation, and removing redundant exclusions. Addressed application naming consistency by introducing case-insensitive handling for web application names while preserving original casing in logic. Utilized TypeScript, Node.js, and JSON, with a strong emphasis on configuration management, path manipulation, and comprehensive unit testing to ensure correctness and maintainability.
