Worked on the DrFaust92/helm-charts-2 repository to deliver a feature enhancing ServiceMonitor timestamp handling for improved metric data fidelity and integration with CloudWatch exporters. Focused on adding configurability for the honorTimestamps parameter within ServiceMonitor resources, the work enabled precise control over timestamp management during metric scraping. This update was implemented using YAML and Helm, maintaining compatibility with existing Kubernetes Helm charts while extending custom resource definitions. The feature improved observability reliability by ensuring accurate metric timestamps for Prometheus and downstream pipelines. No bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on robust feature delivery and operator usability.
