Worked on the hashicorp/nomad repository to address reliability issues in dynamic host volume management, focusing on filesystem permission consistency. Tackled a bug where directory permissions could drift due to umask behavior during creation, ensuring that requested permissions are explicitly enforced after directory setup. This approach involved enhancing the host volume plugin to apply the correct permissions regardless of the underlying system defaults, reducing permission-related failures across deployment environments. Utilized Go for backend development, deepening expertise in permission handling and plugin architecture. The work reinforced security by aligning directory permissions with user intent, contributing to more predictable and reliable infrastructure behavior.
