Worked on the chimera-linux/cports repository to deliver a targeted update of the Niri package, focusing on improving build system reliability and package management workflows. The update involved advancing Niri to version 25.08, refining build arguments, and ensuring accurate dependency resolution by adding 'xwayland-satellite' to the requirements. To enhance reproducibility and integrity, a SHA256 checksum was incorporated, and build checks were optimized by setting RAYON_NUM_THREADS for deterministic performance. All changes were implemented using Python and leveraged expertise in build systems and package management, resulting in a more robust and predictable build environment for the repository’s ongoing development.
