Worked on upgrading the Xiaomi BLE library in the mib1185/homeassistant-core repository, moving from version 1.4.3 to 1.5.0 to enhance compatibility with newer devices and stabilize Bluetooth Low Energy interactions. The process involved careful dependency management, integration of updated Python code, and adherence to semantic versioning practices. Validation included targeted tests and integration checks to ensure no regressions were introduced. This work improved device interoperability and reduced future maintenance risks by aligning dependencies with the project roadmap. Skills demonstrated included software integration, version control, and proficiency with JSON and Python in a collaborative, cross-repository development environment.
