Worked on the apache/answer repository to deliver two backend features focused on improving user experience and deployment flexibility. Developed enhancements for user language preference retrieval, ensuring consistent locale handling across controllers and handlers using Go and the Gin framework. Introduced environment-driven HTML template loading, allowing the application to dynamically select template sources at runtime with a safe fallback mechanism. This approach decoupled template management from the codebase, simplifying environment-specific customization and reducing deployment issues. The work demonstrated a strong grasp of API development and backend web architecture, addressing both runtime configurability and internationalization challenges within a modern Go web application.
