Worked on backend data integrity improvements for the Insomnia-IT/feed repository, focusing on resolving issues related to soft deletion of GroupBadge instances. Addressed a bug where volunteer records could retain orphaned references after a GroupBadge was soft deleted by implementing logic to clear the GroupBadge field on affected volunteer records. This approach ensured consistent and reliable associations between volunteers and groups, reducing the risk of data inconsistencies. The solution was delivered as a targeted bug fix, tracked by a specific commit for traceability. Utilized Django and Python to implement these backend changes, emphasizing careful handling of relational data cleanup.
