Worked on preparing the XanaduAI/MrMustard repository for a new development release by focusing on packaging metadata and release management. Updated the pyproject.toml file to bump the package version to 1.0.0-dev and revised the changelog in Markdown to accurately document the new release. Emphasized build management and version control practices to ensure reproducible builds and clear release traceability for downstream users. No bug fixes were addressed during this period, as the primary effort centered on enabling proper packaging and release tracking. Utilized TOML and Markdown to manage configuration and documentation, supporting reliable distribution and consumption of the package.
