In January 2025, L. Mayliffe delivered a comprehensive overhaul of GitHub issue templates for the SURFscz/SBS repository, focusing on standardizing user story submissions and introducing a dedicated bug report template. Leveraging skills in documentation, GitHub Actions, and issue management, Mayliffe restructured template ordering using YAML to streamline the user experience and prioritize triage efficiency. The updated templates improved the quality of issue intake, enabling clearer reporting and more actionable data for prioritization. This work laid the groundwork for faster issue resolution cycles and enhanced contributor experience, demonstrating a thoughtful approach to repository maintenance and workflow optimization within the project.
