Worked on the obsproject/obs-studio repository, focusing on enhancing application stability and memory management within the Qt-based front end. Addressed a Windows shutdown issue by restructuring system tray action creation and parenting, preventing access to deleted actions and improving shutdown reliability. Additionally, refactored memory management in the OBSBasic component by leveraging parent-child widget ownership, eliminating explicit delete calls and streamlining cleanup processes. These changes reduced maintenance overhead and aligned with platform testing and code hygiene objectives. The work demonstrated proficiency in C++ development, memory management, and widget design, contributing to a more robust and maintainable codebase over the project period.
