Worked on analytics instrumentation for product details within the instructure/canvas-lms repository, focusing on integrating Pendo tracking to capture product usage insights. Implemented a feature that emits a Pendo track event when product information, such as product ID and name, becomes available, using React and TypeScript to ensure seamless integration with the existing front end. Enhanced the robustness of the tracking by adding defensive checks against missing product data, preventing runtime errors during page load. Prioritized code readability and maintainability by following established Pendo integration patterns, supporting accurate analytics collection and enabling more informed, data-driven decisions for product development.
