Worked on the microsoft/CameraTraps repository to enhance documentation accuracy and streamline the onboarding process for new contributors. Focused on aligning configuration references in the README files, updating outdated mentions of config.py to the correct config.yaml format used for data splitting and model training. Utilized Markdown to revise documentation, ensuring consistency between instructional materials and the actual configuration files. This work addressed a documentation bug, reducing potential confusion and misconfiguration for developers setting up experiments. The improvements supported more reliable onboarding and reproducible workflows, demonstrating attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining high-quality project documentation and developer experience.
