During November 2024, Xuhan worked on the avocado-framework/avocado-vt repository, focusing on improving test infrastructure reliability and log management. Using Python scripting and system testing skills, Xuhan implemented a targeted bugfix in the virt_vm component to ensure session log files are removed upon login failures. This approach prevents unnecessary log accumulation, reduces disk usage, and addresses privacy concerns by ensuring only successful login sessions generate logs. The change enhances the maintainability of the virtualization test environment and supports more predictable CI behavior. Xuhan’s work demonstrated attention to code hygiene and contributed to a more robust and efficient testing workflow.
