
In October 2025, Xlu contributed to the newrelic/newrelic-quickstarts repository by updating the Core Web Vitals dashboard to replace the First Input Delay metric with the newer Interaction to Next Paint metric, aligning the dashboard with evolving web performance standards. This work involved modifying JSON configuration files and backend logic using Go, ensuring that performance insights were both current and actionable for users. Xlu also addressed a security vulnerability by implementing robust input sanitization and validation, which improved data integrity and reduced risk from user-provided data. The work demonstrated solid backend development and configuration management skills with a focus on security.
