Worked on the elastic/terraform-provider-elasticstack repository to address a critical stability issue in Elasticsearch Watches handling. Focused on backend development using Go, Elasticsearch, and Terraform, the work involved fixing the preservation of non-string redacted action leaves during refresh by replacing the redacted sentinel with the prior known value for any JSON type. This approach prevented Terraform drift and stabilized webhook headers, broadening merge logic to support diverse payloads. Expanded test coverage included end-to-end validation for redacted script-header preservation, while documentation and OpenSpec alignment ensured clarity. Live-cluster validation confirmed stable behavior, ultimately improving automated infrastructure reconciliation and reducing state divergence.
