Worked on stabilizing the test environment for the DataSQRL/sqrl repository by addressing flakiness in automated Kafka tests. Focused on test infrastructure, the developer updated Docker Compose configurations to use the bitnamileglegacy/kafka image for both kafka and kafka-setup services within the profile1 test suite. This adjustment, implemented entirely in YAML, eliminated image-related failures without altering application versions or production logic. Leveraging DevOps and Docker expertise, the work improved the reliability and speed of CI feedback cycles. The contribution was delivered as a single, traceable commit, emphasizing repository hygiene and ensuring more consistent and maintainable test runs going forward.
