Worked on the DataSQRL/sqrl repository to enhance data reliability by implementing persistent storage for Redpanda within a containerized environment. Addressed the challenge of data loss during container restarts by defining a Docker volume and configuring Redpanda to store its state in a dedicated directory. This approach ensured that operational data persisted across deployments, improving the resilience and state management of the Redpanda service. The work demonstrated practical application of DevOps principles, leveraging Docker and system administration skills, and involved writing Dockerfile and Shell scripts to automate the setup. The contribution focused on reliability without introducing bug fixes during the period.
